Back in July, on a cold winters night, I was board with the TV and started thinking about what I used to do as child in this situation. My grandmother would of had me knitting.
I had no needles in the house but remembered there was a crochet hook hidden in my sewing box, so I pulled it out along with some old scraps of wool that were also hibernating.
Having no idea where to start, I hit the web and found an abundance of crochet sites, I have to say there are some amazing ones out there. I also realised that most of my friends are rather crafty and they also passed on their advice and support. The next thing I knew I was "HOOKED" ..... pun intended.
In such a short time I have learned the stitches, how to read a pattern and what the best kinds of yarn to use. I enjoy the hunt, for a new pattern, new yarn but mostly I just love that people are ASKING me to crochet for them! It is quiet the confidence booster.
So I thought I might try my hand a blogging my daily routine and sharing some of the lovely patterns, yarns and dilemmas that are apart of it.
